Detox is the first step of a new life in recovery. After the frustration and fear of living with a substance use disorder, it provides a chance for change.
What Happens in Detox?
Withdrawal Management & Stabilization
Detox is the process by which the body clears out the last traces of drugs or alcohol from the system after the final dose. Depending on the substances used, detox can last a few days or several. It can be very uncomfortable. In cases without medical care, it can even be fatal.
At SolutionPoint, the goal is to get you stabilized as quickly and as comfortably as possible. That means medically assisted detoxification and acute withdrawal management. During the initial stage of your detox, a trained staff person will check on you every 30 minutes, 24 hours per day.
Once stabilized, you will benefit from individual counseling with our credentialed counselors over the remainder of your stay, as your pursue the treatment indicated by your initial assessment.
You will begin early recovery treatment incorporating group and one-on-one therapy, as well as other modalities, including the following:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Also known as CBT, this is a kind of talk therapy that helps clients learn to regulate emotions and cope with problems.)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT talk therapy provides clients with skills to improve their relationships and change their behavior.)
